OUR HISTORY
The journey of transforming BiD Network to BiD Capital Partners started in 2018,however, our story began in 2006.
Three visionary founders, Thierry Sanders, Koen Wasmus and John van Duursen established Business In Development (BiD) Network to help impactful entrepreneurs in emerging countries to access to finance. . Over the years, we grew into a highly recognized global player including receiving the G20 Global SME Finance- 2010 award.
Since inception, we have facilitated more than $40 million in Investment capital to enterprises in emerging economies, varying from early-stage to multi-million-dollar scale-ups. These investments have created more than 3.000 direct jobs and impacted the lives of over 75.000 people.
In addtion to our transactional track record, we have accumulated a wealth of experience including supporting the growth of the global entrepreneurship ecosystem, investment readiness, building a global private and institutional investor network, being a trusted consortium partner in large development programs, managing blended finance mechanisms, contributing to impact investment- development finance research publications, developing digital investment platforms, and providing sourcing and due diligence services for investors.
